Productivity Improvements

An organisation was having trouble in encouraging employees to face up to the need for productivity improvements and changes to working practices. These requirements arose mainly from changes to the organisations cost and income base.

We assisted the organisation to define the changes that were required and to implement an extensive consultation process which eventually resulted in agreement about how to proceed. These changes were resisted by the employee representatives but were nonetheless eventually implemented.

Supplement to existing HR team

A National Commission was restructuring and the existing HR team did not have sufficient resources. We acted as a temporary supplement to HR team to provide support to line managers during the restructuring exercise

We identified characteristics amongst staff affected by the restructure to enable management to develop a change management strategy. We also helped to identify competencies for particular roles and designed a competency-based interview process enabling managers to make objective assessment of candidates internally and externally.

Acted as change consultant

We facilitated a strategic review process within a financial services company in the light of regulatory criticism. As a result we were able to plan and implement management development activity for the senior management team.

We then put together a change management for entire sales force with specific support to the senior division. This included the provision of a team leadership assessment for regional, branch and sales managers. It also included an upward feedback process.

As part of the programme we provided personal support and mentoring to the Personnel and Training Director and two other Directors
