Competency-based Projects
A financial services company wanted to establish new arrangements for the recruitment and development of a series of specialists in their sales force.

We researched and wrote a comprehensive competency framework covering all the positions. We wrote a series of competency-based selection exercises, which were individual to this particular company and these particular roles.

We then trained all managers in the use of the framework in particular how to use the selection exercises to assist in the recruitment decisions.

Competency based Assessment and Development
We adapted an existing competency framework to make it practical for use by line managers and then designed an assessment centre for a series of technical sales roles. All exercises were bespoke.

We trained line managers in assessment and the use of the assessment centre. The project was subsequently extended to three other job roles and we were asked to design and implement assessment of all the present job-holders for development purposes.

We also arranged external benchmarking of the competencies to prioritise development activity. This involved contacting competitors to arrange exchange of information and publishing a report available to contributors.
